PicomOnline Workstation Upgrade Instructions


 

N O T E

You Must have administrator rights to uninstall/install the Picom client.

Section 1:  Prepare the Computer

Utilize this procedure to reinstall PICOM Client Only! If other modules such as PICOMCD are installed, a complete uninstall is required of the PICOM Client and all modules.

If a previous version of the PICOM Client is installed  please perform this step otherwise skip to section 2

 

1.  From http://www.picomonline.com, select the "Prepare to Upgrade" link.

2.  The following screen will appear.  Click "Run"

3.  Another message will appear, click "Run".

4.  You will receive the following message:

 5.  Close All Internet Explorer Windows

6.  Click the "Close all Browser Windows to Continue" button.

7.  Once your computer is ready, you will receive the following confirmation message: 

8.  Click "OK" to finish

9  Reboot the workstation

 

 


 

Section 2:  Install the Picom Client

1.  Visit http://www.picomonline.net, and login with your normal user name and password.

2.   PicomOnline will automatically begin to download the new client.  If the a pop-up blocker is enabled, you may see the following message.  Click "OK".

3.  Left click on the Internet Explorer message bar "Click here to install..."  and select "Install ActiveX Control..."

4.  You will receive the following message.  Click "Retry"

5.  The following security warning will be displayed.  Click "Install"

 

 

6.  On this screen, click "Next"

7.  On this screen, click "Next"

8.  On this screen, click "Install"

9.  On this screen, click "Finish"

10.  On this screen, select the LOCAL drive with the most space, and click "OK"

11.  On this screen, click "OK"

12.  You will be directed to this main menu, where you can select your preference of default browser:  PowerConsole or Classic Browser. If you select Interactive each time you log into Entperprise this page will appear and you will be asked to chose either the PowerConsole or the Classic Browser.

 

 


 

Section 3: Configure the Login Information

If you use PowerConsole, you will be prompted to enter the server information.  Enter the appropriate login information and click "Save"

This will create a saved login parameter for repeated use.
